Gatwick Airport Taxi — Fixed-Price Transfers to Both Terminals, 24/7

Getting to Gatwick shouldn't be the stressful part of your trip. Whether you're catching a 6am departure from the North Terminal or landing back at the South Terminal after a delayed flight, what you want is simple: a driver who's there, a car that's clean, and a price that doesn't change on the way. That's what we've been doing since 2016. BPC Cars is a licensed private hire operator based in London E14, running fixed-price airport transfers across London, Surrey and Sussex. Every Gatwick airport taxi we send out is booked at a confirmed fare, driven by a DBS-checked driver, and tracked against your flight so nobody is left waiting.

Gatwick North Terminal or South Terminal  Which One Do You Need?

This trips up more travellers than you'd expect, and getting it wrong at 5am is genuinely stressful.
Gatwick operates two separate terminals. They are not walking distance apart, but they're connected by a free inter-terminal shuttle that runs frequently and takes only a couple of minutes.

Gatwick airport taxi transfer with driver

North Terminal

LGW N

How to check

Which terminal you need is determined by your airline, and it's printed on your boarding pass and your booking confirmation.

Notes

Separate site from South Terminal, with its own drop-off area and check-in halls.

South Terminal

LGW S

How to check

Give us your flight number at booking and we'll confirm the correct terminal for you.

Notes

Connected to North Terminal by a free shuttle that takes a couple of minutes.

Departing: Your driver takes you to the drop-off area for your terminal specifically, helps unload your luggage, and you walk straight into check-in. No shuttle, no detour, no second guessing.

Arriving: Your driver waits in the arrivals hall of your terminal holding a name board. We'll have already tracked your landing, so the timing is handled. Once you're through, we help with your bags and you're on the road.

If your airline changes terminal: It does happen. We'll pick it up through flight tracking and adjust before the day. And if you land at the wrong terminal for your onward plans, the shuttle is free and quick  but with a pre-booked transfer, it rarely comes up.

Why Passengers Book Their Gatwick Transfer With Us

There are plenty of ways to reach Gatwick. The train is quick if you live near Victoria. Ride-hailing apps are convenient until you're standing in the rain at 4am watching the price surge. A pre-booked taxi to Gatwick Airport solves a specific set of problems, and those problems are worth naming.

Your price is locked before you travel

The quote you accept is the quote you pay. No meter running in traffic on the M23, no peak-time multiplier because everyone else is flying at the same time, and no card surcharge at the end. The airport's own drop-off charge is built into your fare, so there's nothing to settle at the barrier.

We watch your flight, not the clock

For every arrival, we monitor your inbound flight in real time. Land forty minutes early and your driver is already there. Sit on the tarmac for an hour and your pickup moves with you, at no extra cost within your agreed waiting time. You don't need to message us from the baggage hall.

Your driver meets you inside

For arrivals, we come into the terminal with a name board rather than waiting in a car park and expecting you to find us with three suitcases and a tired toddler. It's a small thing that changes the entire end of a journey.

Someone answers the phone at 3am

Flights don't only run in office hours, so neither do we. Our team is reachable around the clock, every day of the year, including bank holidays.

Every driver is licensed and checked

DBS-checked, fully licensed, fully insured, and familiar enough with the A23 and M23 to know when the Hooley stretch is going to cost you twenty minutes and when it won't.

Fixed Gatwick Pricing

Gatwick Airport Taxi Prices

We publish our starting fares because we think you should know what you're paying before you hand over any details. Three things determine your price: how far the pickup is, which vehicle you need, and how much luggage is coming with you. Nothing else.

Route Saloon from Estate from MPV / 8-Seater from
Central London → Gatwick £ 69 £ 75 £ 124
East London (Canary Wharf, E14) → Gatwick £ 77 £ 83 £ 132
West London → Gatwick £ 69 £ 75 £ 124
Croydon & South London → Gatwick £ 53 £ 59 £ 108
Heathrow → Gatwick £ 70 £ 76 £ 125
Brighton → Gatwick £ 74 £ 84 £ 148
Crawley, Horley & Redhill → Gatwick £ 57 £ 63 £ 112

What's included in every fare

The Gatwick drop-off charge, real-time flight tracking, meet and greet on arrivals, luggage assistance, and free waiting time (currently minutes after landing, and minutes for non-airport pickups).

What isn't

Extended waiting beyond the free period, additional stops added on the day, and child seats if you need them — all of which are quoted upfront if you ask for them at booking. There are no fees you'll discover later.

Prices vary with distance and demand for larger vehicles, so the fastest way to get an exact figure is our instant quote tool. It takes about thirty seconds and doesn't require payment details.

Journey Times

How Long Does a Taxi From London to Gatwick Take?

Gatwick sits roughly 28 to 30 miles south of central London, just outside Crawley in West Sussex. The route is usually the A23 down to the M23, which drops you almost directly at the terminals. In light traffic, central London to Gatwick takes around an hour. Realistically, allow 75 to 90 minutes if you're travelling between 7am and 10am or between 4pm and 7pm, when the southern approaches out of London slow considerably. Late-night and early-morning runs are usually the fastest of the day.

From Route Typical journey time
Canary Wharf / East London Depends on river crossings 70–100 mins
Heathrow to Gatwick Via the M25 60–90 mins
Brighton to Gatwick Straight up the A23 35–45 mins
Croydon to Gatwick South London approach 30–40 mins
Crawley or Horley Local pickup 10–20 mins

Our standing advice: aim to arrive three hours before a long-haul departure and two hours before a short-haul flight, then work backwards from there. If you're not sure what pickup time that means for your address, tell us your flight and we'll recommend one.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

Luggage is where most airport transfers go wrong. People book for the number of passengers and forget that four adults flying long-haul means four large cases plus hand luggage, which does not fit in a saloon. Here's an honest guide.

Standard saloon for Gatwick airport transfers

Standard Saloon

Best for one to three passengers with two large suitcases and hand luggage. The right choice for solo travellers, couples, and business trips with a carry-on.

Estate car for Gatwick airport transfers

Estate Car

Same passenger capacity as a saloon but noticeably more boot space. Worth the small upgrade if you're a couple travelling for two weeks, or anyone flying with sports equipment or a pushchair.

MPV for family Gatwick transfers

MPV (up to 6 passengers)

Families and small groups. Comfortable for a longer run down to Gatwick, with room for four to five cases.

8-seater minivan for group Gatwick transfers

8-Seater Minivan

Larger families, friends travelling together, and corporate groups. Book this if there are more than six of you or if luggage is heavy. See our minibus airport transfer options for bigger parties.

Executive car for corporate Gatwick transfers

Executive Cars

Premium vehicles for corporate travel, client collections, and anyone who wants a quieter, more comfortable journey. Also available through our executive taxi service and executive chauffeur service.

Wheelchair accessible vehicle for Gatwick transfers

Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles

Available on request. Please tell us at the time of booking so we can allocate the right vehicle and driver.

If you're unsure, tell us how many bags you're bringing rather than just how many people. We'd rather send a bigger car than watch you repack on the pavement.

Booking Your Gatwick Transfer

Five steps, about a minute, and no payment details needed for a quote

1. Enter your journey

Pickup address, terminal or flight number, date and time.

2. Choose your vehicle

Passenger and luggage capacity shown for each.

3. See your fixed price

The full fare, with nothing added later.

4. Confirm

Confirmation by email and SMS, plus your driver's details before travel.

5. Travel

Your driver arrives at the agreed time, or meets you in arrivals with a name board.

You can book online, over the phone on 0044 20 3667 8590, or through WhatsApp if that's easier. Corporate and business accounts are available with priority booking and monthly invoicing.
When to book: as early as you reasonably can. Same-day bookings are usually fine, but early-morning departures, late-night arrivals, and larger vehicles get scarce during school holidays and bank holiday weekends.

BPC Cars licensed private hire vehicle in London
Licensed & Insured

Licensed, Insured and Operating Since 2016

BPC Cars is a licensed private hire operator working out of London E14. We've been running airport transfers since 2016, and in that time the standards haven't changed: every driver is DBS-checked and fully licensed, every vehicle is insured, maintained and cleaned between jobs, and every fare is agreed before the journey starts. Private hire vehicles must be pre-booked through a licensed operator — they cannot legally be hailed on the street. Booking with a licensed operator means your journey is recorded, your driver is vetted, and you have someone accountable if anything goes wrong.
